I have always considered myself an athlete. I played sports on a competitive level my whole life. Whether soccer, softball, cheerleading, football, it didn’t matter. I was a tomboy at heart and just wanted to play. As I got older, like most others, my life became more sedentary. I got a desk job and sat around 8 hours a day exercising my mind as opposed to my body. If I would make it a point to get back in the gym, a few weeks would go by and I would ultimately get bored and was soon back to being a couch potato trying to allow my mind to recharge until I was back to the grind the next day. In December of 2012 I was at my highest weight and completely miserable with myself.
