Going strong since March 9th, it’s finally championship weekend at the BNP Paribas Open! The BNP Paribas Open is an annual tennis tournament, located at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in California.  Since day one, Jofit has been quickly running through its supply of new tennis apparel for 2015 in the vendor tent area. The new apparel consists of select pieces from Tahiti, a blend of grape, citron and a windowpane pattern, as well as the Tequila Sunrise featuring a colorful palette of coral glow, heather charcoal and cheetah print. Jofit will be located in the vendor tent until championship Sunday.

Winter-Hiking-Colorado

 

Spring is in the air, but the weather in Colorado can change quickly. I am anxious to get out and add a few more things to my exercise routine. These past two winters, falls and springs have been different for me, as I’ve been recuperating from shoulder surgery (my left shoulder in 2012 and my right in 2013). This has meant that my winters have not involved the usually buffet of winter sports like snowboarding and cross-country skiing. Instead, I’ve been relegated to hiking, up and down the mountains, over and over again. When my shoulder got a little stronger and I could negotiate my skis and skins, I could “skin” up the mountain. I am lucky to live in such a diverse and wonderful place where I can still enjoy these activities in the great outdoors—it has kept me sane (somewhat). But enough of that uphill trekking, in one form or another.I am ready for spring and summer, and ready to play!

I have always considered myself an athlete. I played sports on a competitive level my whole life. Whether soccer, softball, cheerleading, football, it didn’t matter. I was a tomboy at heart and just wanted to play. As I got older, like most others, my life became more sedentary. I got a desk job and sat around 8 hours a day exercising my mind as opposed to my body. If I would make it a point to get back in the gym, a few weeks would go by and I would ultimately get bored and was soon back to being a couch potato trying to allow my mind to recharge until I was back to the grind the next day. In December of 2012 I was at my highest weight and completely miserable with myself.
